Selling to Russians News: YouTube for Russian Buyers
May 05, 2015
Video of a property is the most sought after by real estate buyers nowadays. Some internet sources state that up to 90% of potential buyers would prefer to see a property video before making any move towards seeing the property in reality. Even more so is true for overseas buyers!
At the same time the internet sources state that under 10% of sellers (mostly technology advanced realtors) use video in their real estate promotion.
See the discrepancy here? And how would you be on the winning side in the game of selling your property if you had a good video of it on YouTube and be able to show it to potential buyers? And again – it’s even more important for buyers who have to come to see your property from far away! Talking about Russian buyers – the supporting texts in your video would be better to have in Russian of course (also the title, description and keywords for YouTube have to be in Russian if you want Russian buyers to find your property video).
Now, you can tell that creating a good video requires expensive equipment or hiring a professional with such equipment whose services would be expensive too. Well, it is one way of doing things and it is not cheap of course and suitable for the very high-end properties. By the way, posting online for the whole world to see a video that your teenage kid made with his cell phone might be not so beneficial to your property selling after all…
There is an economy solution available: creating a video as a slide show made up of a number of photos of your property and some supporting texts and background music. It looks like a video moving from one room to another and from one view to another, easy to watch, provides a compact and nicely organized in one place information about your property and surroundings, easy to post on the internet and then use in your property promotion.
In a way it is even better than a static website dedicated to your property - unless you want to post lots of texts, maps and floor plans for which websites suit much better than videos. If you have both – a website and property video linked to it among other information on your real estate – you combine the best of all marketing possibilities.
Of course, the same thing is true about both websites and videos – you have to inform people (potential buyers and their buyer's agents) that your property is for sale, but it is another chapter of the story of real estate marketing and selling, and we talked about it in some past issues of this newsletter and will talk more in the future I believe.
Here are some samples of international property videos for sale to Russian buyers that I have recently created and posted on YouTube:
I can help you with video creation and YouTube posting or, if you so prefer, just with translating your marketing text, title, video description and keywords into Russian, if you create and post the video on your own (you need photos of your property and area and some words describing them in English).
To your best business success,
