How Property Video Can Put You Ahead of Competition in Selling Real Estate Internationally
May 01, 2019

Hi Everyone,

How Property Video Can Put You Ahead of Competition in Selling Real Estate Internationally

Recently we've talked a lot about two major components of a successful property listing for international sales - descriptions and photos, but there is the third one (maybe the most significant for overseas buyers) - video.

Several years ago I wrote about the importance of a property video for buyers who are located far away from the property and have to have a good reason to come and see it - to buy just your property, not somebody else's.

At that time I found some stats saying that more than 90% of the buyers would like to see a video while under 10% of real estate sellers/realtors present it with their listings.

Ok, I've checked again - and no surprise here. The latest US National Association of Realtors report "Real Estate in a Digital World" states that almost 100% of home buyers use the internet as their search for properties to buy, while 5% of realtors make videos and 15% plan to do so in the future.

That's the fact that can put you way ahead of the competition if you do provide a video of your property for sale.

If your asking price doesn't justify hiring a drone professional to shoot a real video, you can go for a slide show of your property on YouTube. Here is a sample demo in both languages - English and Russian – of a hotel in Italy for sale to Russian buyers:

Having such visual online presentation you can do many things with it in terms of marketing your property for sale: email it to the proper realtors in Russia who sell your country's properties over there, include a link to it in all and any of your listings where a technical possibility exists, and promote the video in both languages on YouTube which is the second largest search engine in the world, etc.

To your best business success,

Sincerely,
